iLab is an environment where creativity, learning, and community all come together. Projects will take place at Traip Academy but as they evolve may take on a life outside school.
The experience is intended for students who have shown a genuine interest in topics that may not be part of the conventional curriculum but are still valid as potential career tracks. iLab will be part learning center, maker space, business incubator and gathering place — it will bridge the gap between our schools, the local community, and the world beyond.
The iLab Foundation is a private, non-profit group of Kittery community members, parents, educators, and business owners. Our primary goal is to support our students, educators and school staff by providing additional creative learning opportunities and resources to further enhance the educational experience in Kittery.
Our community advisors include: Gunnar Ek, Susan Johnson, Katie Peternell, Christie Salema, and Eric Stites.
